The concept behind the Mor Archery Targets ™ Non-Penetrating Target System took shape in 2007 after owner, Tim Yaroch and his son, Mark began attending Cub Scout events during Mark’s second year in Scouting. The archery competition always seemed to generate a lot of interest and excitement within the Cub Scout Pack. However, many boys were not able to participate in the event because parents were concerned about the use of the field points.

Because Tim enjoys the sport of archery so much himself, he became motivated to find a safe shooting environment to introduce today’s youth to the sport. In 2008, he accomplished this by developing the Mor Archery Targets ™ Non-Penetrating Target System, which eliminated the use of field points and the pulling of arrows from the targets.

The portable target system comes in a heavy-duty Carrying Bag with a Two-sided Reversible Target Screen, a Collapsible Stand, (4) Colors of Chalk, and (12) 100-Grain Blunt Arrow Tips. The two sides of the reversible target screen are: 1) the 9 Squares - designed for competitive games of skill, and 2) the Whitetail Deer Silhouette - complete with vital organs.

All of the MOR screens are designed to withstand a 360 FPS strike from an arrow. As the target screen absorbs the impact of the arrow, the arrow safely drops to the ground.

Mor Archery Targets ™ joins DARTON ARCHERY and CARBON EXPRESS in The National After School Archery Program – May 2010

Mor Archery Targets ™ is proud to introduce its Non-Penetrating Archery Target System to our nation’s youth through the National After School Archery Program. MOR has teamed up with Darton Archery and Carbon Express to bring its unique target system to youths in grades 4 through 12.

The National After School Archery Program and similar programs bring the sport of archery to millions of youth across the United States. The program is available to public and private schools, government agencies, and non-profit organizations. The core content of the program covers the history of archery, safety of the sport, technique, mental conditioning, the basics of archery equipment, and the value of maintaining physical fitness.
